The terms governing your use of our website and our aesthetic medicine services. Please read them carefully before booking a consultation.
These Terms of Use and Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website located at www.drkatiecalvo.com (the “Website”) and the aesthetic medicine services provided by Dr. Katie Calvo (“Services”). Please read them carefully before using the Website or booking a consultation.
The Website and Services are operated by Calviera Medical Holding LTD, a company incorporated in England and Wales (Companies House number 15714954), whose registered office is at 167–169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London W1W 5PF, trading as Dr. Katie Calvo.
By accessing or using our Website, or by booking a consultation or treatment with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Website or Services.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Calviera Medical Holding LTD. References to “we”, “us”, “our”, and “Dr. Katie Calvo” are references to Calviera Medical Holding LTD. They should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Our Services are available to adults aged 18 years or over only. By using our Website or booking a consultation, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.
In accordance with the Botulinum Toxin and Cosmetic Fillers (Children) Act 2021 and associated regulations, we do not provide cosmetic injections of botulinum toxin or dermal fillers (or any other aesthetic injectable treatment) to persons under the age of 18, under any circumstances whatsoever, regardless of parental or guardian consent. This is a statutory prohibition and an absolute requirement of our clinical practice.
We reserve the right to request proof of age at any time. If we have reason to believe a patient is under 18, we will decline to proceed with any treatment.
The content published on our Website, including text, photographs, social media content, and any other materials, is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute, and must not be relied upon as, medical advice, clinical diagnosis, or a recommendation to undergo any treatment.
You should always seek the advice of a qualified medical professional regarding any medical condition, symptom, or treatment option. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of information you have read on our Website.
Aesthetic medicine treatments are inherently individual. Results vary from patient to patient based on factors including anatomy, skin type, age, lifestyle, and adherence to post-treatment care instructions. We do not guarantee any specific outcome from any treatment. Any before-and-after photographs shown on our Website or social media are illustrative and represent the results of specific individuals; they are not a representation of the results you will achieve.
We do not prescribe or administer any prescription medicine, including botulinum toxin, without a prior face-to-face consultation conducted by Dr. Katie Calvo. Online enquiries, contact form submissions, or website content do not constitute a clinical assessment or prescribing decision.
Dr. Katie Calvo is a GMC-registered physician. Prescription-only medicines, including botulinum toxin products, are prescribed and administered by a registered medical professional in accordance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including those of the Medicines Act 1968, the Human Medicines Regulations 2012, and GMC guidance on prescribing.
All initial consultations are a paid service. The consultation fee is payable at the time of booking and is non-refundable, except as set out in Section 5 (Cancellations and No-Shows). The consultation fee represents payment for the clinical time of Dr. Katie Calvo and does not commit either party to the provision of, or agreement to receive, any treatment.
During a consultation, Dr. Katie Calvo will carry out a clinical assessment and discuss potential treatment options with you. Dr. Katie Calvo reserves the absolute clinical and professional discretion to decline to proceed with any treatment if, in her professional judgement, it is not appropriate, safe, or in your best interests. This is a fundamental principle of our clinical practice.
Where treatment is agreed following a consultation and appropriate clinical assessment, the terms specific to that treatment, including pricing, post-treatment care requirements, and any associated risks, will be communicated to you and confirmed in your consent documentation. Treatments are subject to availability. We reserve the right to withdraw, modify, or discontinue any treatment at any time.
No treatment will be administered without your full, documented, informed consent. You will be provided with written information about the proposed treatment, its risks, benefits, and alternatives, and you will be asked to sign a consent form. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time before a treatment begins, without penalty (subject to our cancellation policy).
We reserve the right to decline to provide any treatment, or to pause or discontinue a treatment, at any time where we reasonably consider that proceeding would not be in your best interests, would compromise patient safety, or for any other reasonable clinical or professional reason. In such circumstances, the consultation fee is non-refundable, but we will endeavour to explain our clinical reasoning to you.
Consultations can be booked online via our booking system, by telephone on 07561 598 076, or by email at info@drkatiecalvo.com. A booking is confirmed only once payment of the consultation fee has been received and you have received a written confirmation from us. Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (London time).
If you need to cancel or reschedule a booked appointment, please notify us as soon as possible and in any event no later than 48 hours before your scheduled appointment time.
If you do not attend your booked appointment without prior notice (a “no-show”), the consultation fee is forfeited. We may in our discretion offer you the opportunity to rebook a new appointment. Repeated no-shows may, at our discretion, result in us declining to accept future bookings from you.
If you arrive late for your appointment, we will endeavour to accommodate you but may need to shorten or reschedule your consultation if your late arrival does not allow sufficient time to conduct a safe and thorough assessment. In such circumstances, the consultation fee is non-refundable.
All prices are as stated on our Website or as communicated to you at the time of booking. Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). All prices stated are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Please note: purely cosmetic aesthetic treatments are subject to Value Added Tax (VAT) at the standard rate of 20%. VAT will be clearly indicated on all invoices.
Consultation fees are payable in full at the time of booking. Treatment fees are payable in full prior to, or on the day of, treatment, unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept payment by major credit and debit cards. We do not accept cash. Payment is processed securely via our payment processing partner. We do not store your full payment card details.
We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. Changes will be displayed on our Website. Prices confirmed at the time of your booking will be honoured for the appointment to which they apply.
Where you book a consultation online or by telephone (i.e. off our premises), you may have certain statutory cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. However, by booking a consultation, you acknowledge and agree to the commencement of the Services before the expiry of any applicable cancellation period, and you understand that this may extinguish or limit your right to cancel without charge.
We will always provide you with the required pre-contract information before your booking is confirmed. If you have any questions about your statutory rights, please contact us or visit www.citizensadvice.org.uk.
Our Services will be provided with reasonable care and skill in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. We do not exclude or limit our liability to you in any way where it would be unlawful to do so, including in respect of death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or breach of your legal rights as a consumer.
